Why move to Loughton?
Loughton has been a popular tourist hotspot since the 17th Century. The town sits on the edge of Epping Forest, 15 miles from central London at the apex of what is known as the “Golden Triangle”, with Chigwell and Buckhurst Hill to the south.
It is home to some rich and famous figures such as glamour model-turned-bodybuilder Jodie Marsh and a host of professional footballers too.
The town offers the convenience of a London postcode with a more leisurely out-of-town lifestyle but not too far from the glitz of the capital city. It is noted for its residential appeal, attracting families and those looking for a slower pace of life. Yet it offers easy access to the M25 and the M11 for a quick escape route to the North.
Additionally, the town is only 26 minutes from London Liverpool Street on the Central line, and it is just 18 minutes from Stratford.
Plenty of open spaces such as Epping Forest are right on your doorstep. The whole region is made up of approximately 1,500 acres of forest, 600 acres of green-belt meadows and fields.
The centre has a great range of local shops, amenities and, of course, the publicly accessible and beautiful woodland of Epping Forest is close by. Although properties are not cheap, they still cost less when compared to London prices. It is easy to see why living in Loughton is so desirable.
