Things to Do in Great Dunmow
With beautiful countryside surrounding the town, there are many lovely walks and trails to explore, whether on foot or by bicycle.

The Great Dunmow Maltings is an outstanding survival of the early malting and brewing industry, last functional in 1948 as part of the old Dunmow Brewery Company.
The oldest parts of the maltings date from the 16th century, though the building is recorded as having undergone major refurbishment around 1780, followed by further modification in the 19th century.
It is both a popular visitor attraction, and a thriving venue for meetings, social activities, exhibitions and civil wedding ceremonies.
Hatfield Forest is the best surviving example in Britain of an almost complete Royal Hunting Forest.
It is home to over 3,500 species of wildlife, some of which are rare and threatened.
It is truly a great place for children to vent their excess energy with plenty of open space for playing and exploring.
