You can be in Hull by train within 44 minutes, Scarborough 34 minutes, and York within 1hr 18 minutes. Bridlington Schools & Education
There are seven primary schools in the Bridlington Civil Parish.
Flamborough C of E Primary School, Burlington Infant School, and New Pasture Lane Primary Schools are all highly recommended and performing well according to Ofsted.
Bridlington School and Headlands School are the two main secondaries. The former was judged to be a good, school following its most recent Ofsted inspection whilst Headlands requires improvement.
East Riding College provides tertiary education for students over the age of sixteen and its varied courses provide both academic and vocational subjects.

Things to do in Bridlington
Living in Bridlington means that when it comes to your relaxation time most interests are catered for.
The annual Old Town Summer Festival is the highlight of the year in Bridlington, with theatre, music, food, and more. Other popular events include the Dickensian Christmas festival, regular music festivals, and all sorts of other celebrations.
Grab your bucket and spade and head to the seaside. Bridlington beach is safe and sandy, and it is a great family day out complete with funfair, amusements, and donkey rides.
At Sewerby Hall and Gardens, you can enjoy a vast range of events, including historical re-enactments and living histories, magic days, vehicle rallies, art exhibitions, sporting events, craft fairs, wildlife activities, and concerts.
For any history buff, a visit to the beautiful Augustinian Priory, Bayle Museum, and Harbour Heritage Museum are all must-do activities.
