Why Move to Brentwood?
During the 17th Century the town was a mahor stopping point for travellers making the pilgrimage to Canterbury. At that time there were 11 inns offering bed and board, the White Hart is the only one remaining, these days it is better known as the Sugar Hut, a nightclub!
Of late, Brentwood’s profile has been well and truly elevated to new heights due to the TV reality show Towie which is filmed in and around this area.
As well as this spotlight, the highly anticipated Crossrail is also going to enhance the towns reputation, making it even easier to get to the capital and other larger towns and cities across the region.
An affluent and attractive town, all this recent attention has inevitably meant that Brentwood has become an investment property hotspot.
It has plenty of green appeal with lots of open spaces to enjoy. It also has the added attraction of open countryside on its doorstep. Less than 20% of the borough is built-up making it an ideal choice for young families.
Trains from Shenfield station take about 38 minutes to Liverpool Street and, from May 2019, Crossrail will cut the journey time to central London to about 45 minutes.
Lying a few miles outside the M25 and close to the A12, roads to London, Chelmsford and Colchester offer excellent all-round travel connections.
The towns high street has a good mix of local shops and big stores alongside lots of popular independent shops. Brentwood’s boutique-town feel attracts a multitude of new residents and once here, very few leave.
