Although Billericay has a reasonable variety of shops, for a greater choice, there are also three large shopping centres in nearby Southend, Chelmsford and Brentwood.
Cater Museum and Hanningfield Reservoir are lovely places to visit and learn in more details about the town and its fascinating history. For the children, the Birds of Prey Academy is a beautiful experience, where you can see falcons, owls, vultures and eagles.
Barleylands Farm & Craft Village is another popular attraction, it offers both indoor and outdoor activities for children of all ages, craft shops and tearooms, creating a fantastic day out in Essex for all the family.
One of the most popular attractions is the nearby Norsey Wood nature reserve. It has been declared an ancient monument and Site of Special Scientific Interest. Receiving around 60,000 visitors a year, it is a popular place for walking, picnicking and educational visits.
