- Consultation and Questions: Answer any questions the move consultant has about your move, helping them understand your specific needs. The surveyor will also be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

Free Survey
A surveyor will conduct a free home survey to establish the precise volume of effects being transported. This involves observing your current home room-by-room, carefully noting items to be transported or exported, whilst recording all details via electronic tablet. Alternatively, you can conduct a video survey yourself.
Packing Service
Once you agree to proceed, we’ll set a moving date with you for our removals team and vehicles to arrive at your residence for the big day. Our fully trained removals team will export pack and wrap all items being shipped in special breathable bubble wrap and double-lined cardboard boxes, ensuring your prized possessions are suitably protected.
Secure Storage
White and Company owns and operates its own short and long term warehouse facilities strategically placed in 19 locations throughout the United Kingdom, providing secure, clean and dry containerised storage in personal dedicated storage containers. This ensures all your items are stored and protected from damage prior to despatch.
Overseas Shipping
Upon arrival at a local depot, all goods are transferred to the export warehouse to await loading onto a container. The container is booked onto the first available vessel destined to the closest port of entry to your final destination. Once your shipment arrives at the port of destination, your goods will pass through customs prior to despatch to your new home.

A modern smartphone or tablet, either running iOS (Apple) or Android. You will also need a stable WiFi, 4G or 5G internet connection to ensure the video images are clear for our surveyor to assess your home and belongings.
How do we connect with the surveyor?
Download our app, available for both Android and iOS devices. Before your scheduled call, you will receive a text or email with a link. Simply click on the link, and we’ll connect to start your survey.
What happens during the call?
To begin, you’ll connect with our surveyor through your phone camera, giving you the chance to discuss your move. Next, you’ll be asked to rotate your camera. The surveyor will instruct you to slowly scan the room, helping them evaluate the items you have to be moved. We will then proceed to tour your entire property.
How long will the video survey last?
The duration of the survey will vary based on the number of questions you have and the size of your property. For example, for a comprehensive assessment of a four-bedroom home, including the garden, garage, and loft, you should allocate around 30 minutes. This ensures we thoroughly understand your needs and can tailor our service to meet all of your removals requirements.
Will the surveyor need to see inside the cupboards?
Absolutely, it’s crucial to view every area so we can accurately determine the volume and nature of your belongings. This helps us calculate the number and types of cartons required and estimate the time needed for packing up your belongings. For example, packing five boxes of books is much quicker than carefully packing fine china.
What happens if we lose internet connection?
If your connection drops or encounters issues while showing areas like the driveway, garden, or garage, there’s no need to worry. Just record a video of these parts, and we’ll provide you with a link to upload your footage. Once uploaded, we’ll review the videos and proceed with the assessment.
What if I’m not moving everything seen in the house?
As you show us around, please highlight any items you do not wish to move. This will help us ensure that our quote excludes these items and accurately reflects your moving needs.
What happens if I’m unable to show you around the loft space?
Before the call, review the contents of these areas and inform the surveyor about them during your conversation. If possible, have someone record a video or take photos of these areas either before or after the survey. We can then provide you with a link to upload the video or images, allowing us to view and evaluate the items effectively.
Should I let the surveyor know about valuable items I am worried about?
Definitely! It’s crucial to point out any items of significant value, whether monetary, historical, or sentimental. By highlighting these items to our surveyor, we can discuss the appropriate measures to ensure they are properly protected during your move.
When will I receive my quote?
For relocations within the UK and Europe, you can typically expect to receive your quote within 24 hours. For international moves, the process takes slightly longer as we need to gather freight and destination information. Generally, international quotes are provided within 48 to 72 hours.
